I thought my husband's 10 year old tv had finally gone out. The sound was going out on on station yesterday and today it wouldn't turn on. I tried every battery and even those that seemed to be working in something else would not work in the remote to turn the tv on. The problem is that the power button has been missing since we've been married. Today I took a wood skewer (didn't want to electrocute myself) and managed to put it in the missing power button hole and turn the tv on. So....it was the remote and not the tv. I hollered to my sister that the tv was working. I left and went to church, leaving my sister behind. When I came home, my sister and I had a cute conversation.
Me: What are you watching?
Sister: I don't know, the tv won't change channels.
Me: The remote doesn't work.
Sister: Yeah, the channels don't either.
Me: Did you try changing them on the tv?
Sister: Oh, I didn't think of that....
Good thing for remotes!

SO funny.
hilarious...I love it. I will spend 30 minutes looking for the remote to turn the tv off sometimes. But that's mostly because I can't stand to lose things...but I never think to turn it off manually and find it later LOL. So, your prayer for my dog didn't work...maybe mine for Saturday will :)
that is funny. but one thing that really does bug me is how you can buy a device that does not have all the buttons you need on it so if you lose the remote you can't do things. Like I think DVD players are practically worthless without the remote.
